As a community of faith we hold to the 1689 Second London Baptist Confession of faith.
We are a Reformed Baptist Church that hold to the doctrines of the Protestant Reformation of the 16th and 17th centuries.
We believe that Salvation is:
— by the grace of God alone
— to be received by faith alone
— in Christ Jesus alone, our only Mediator
— to the glory of God alone.
— We believe that the Holy Scriptures are our only rule of faith and conduct and submit ourselves to its authority, instruction and revelation.
Here is a link to the 1689 Baptist Confession of Faith.
We believe in the doctrines of grace, that salvation is by the sovereign grace of God alone, and this means that we cannot save ourselves by our own efforts, works and achievements.
—We are radically depraved, every faculty, will, emotions and intellect of every human being has been defiled and we are all bound to a sinful nature, which means we cannot do what we ought to do.
—God elected his people before the foundation of the world in Christ, unconditionally not because of anything we would do or be.
— Christ atonement is efficacious to those whom God elected before the foundation of the world. Christ made a full satisfaction for the sins of those who would believe in Him and repent of their sins. Faith and repentance are the fruits of spiritual regeneration by the Holy Spirit.
— Those whom God chose, God draws to Himself irresistibly by His grace
— And those who are thus chosen and for whom Christ made atonement and are called into his kingdom and justified, God preserves until his second coming. We believe in the perseverance of the saints.
We believe God has one plan of salvation and He has revealed this through the covenant of grace, the everlasting covenant in the Old and New Testaments. Christ is the Mediator of this covenant.
